Art Teacher
Melissa Benjamin has been interested and making art since she was in 6th grade. She is a native of Baton Rouge, La, and spent all of her growing up years in Louisiana. She took all the art classes she could all through school and majored in Graphic Design and studio art at Louisiana Tech University. She graduated with a BFA in 1989 and then pursued her certificate in Art Education at Missouri State University in 1994. She has been teaching in public schools since 1994 but has also taught in private schools, museum settings and at home.

I began my teaching career at Hurley Schools in Hurley, Missouri.
I also have taught in the private setting and in Art Museums.
I enjoy working with students of all ages and helping them be more creative and self fulfilled with the arts.
