Welcome to Speech & Drama!

In our Competitive Speech and Drama curriculum, students will have the opportunity to get involved in our One Act Play for the OSSAA competition each fall semester and the McAlester High School Musical each spring semester. For our students in competitive speech, we attend Speech and Debate Competitions in the spring of each school year. 

We also have the Thespian club for our students to help plan for possible performances,organize a canned food drive, and participate in bi-weekly movie nights where we discuss the actors, acting skills, movie plot, and overall performance of the movie. 

Students will also learn the importance of theater and warm-ups before they go on stage, participate in some theater games, and learn how to work as a team through some trust building exercises.

Our goal is to help our students grow and inspire, not only themselves, but others around them.
