I began teaching at Puterbaugh Middle School in 2017.  This is my third year at Puterbaugh and I love it!  I am currently teaching 7^th and 8^th grade Writing.  

Prior to teaching at McAlester, I taught at Hartshorne Elementary School for 17 years.  I have taught music, 3^rd grade, Kindergarten and Special Education.  I worked as a Secretary for Haileyville Public Schools when I decided to go back to college and get my teaching degree.  

I married my high school sweetheart 38 years ago this last summer.  We have three grown children – Josh, Megan and Caleb and  two daughters-in-law - Kristin and Kasey.  We have been blessed with three wonderful grandchildren – Halle, Collyn and Kynslee.  We have two dogs – Sarge (husky, australian shephard) and Molly (shih tzu, lhasa apso) and one cat – Sassy.  

When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family.  I love to watch my grandchildren play sports.  I enjoy game night with my best friend and her family as well as traveling.
