I began teaching Pre- K at Jefferson Early Childhood Center in 2013. This is the same year that I moved to McAlester.
When I first began teaching I taught first grade for a short period of time. Then I went on teaching Pre-K in Perkins Oklahoma. I then did a long term substitute position for 6th grade Science in Stillwater Oklahoma. After that, I moved to McAlester and began teaching Pre-K. Before teaching I owned and operated a large family home childcare for 10 years.
I was married in 1998 to Frank Haynes who is from McAlester. We have 4 children ( three girls and a boy). Our oldest is going to college at Oklahoma State University and our other three are in the McAlester Public Schools. We live on a small farm and have goats, chickens, rabbits, and dogs.
I like to do many things when not teaching. I like to play with my goats and dogs, I read, I crochet, and even though my children tell me I am way too old I play video games.
